Portraits by NGB: Baby Ellie is 1!

So it's official. Just when I think I have met the cutest baby in the world, I get the priviledge of meeting yet another one. Ellie was simply put, a precious little girl. She is half-Nigerian and half-Korean which is a beautiful and unique mix as you can see from her adorable face. Turning one is very BIG in her mother's Korean culture and I tell you, the tradition that I was introduced to called "Doljabi" was definitely entertaining. A fun game that is played on a baby's first birthday to determine her future. How it's played: 6 items are put in front of a child, and depending on which one the child picks, this will be her future career. The 6 items in Ellie's case were: a stethoscope (if picked, she'll be a doctor), a $20 bill (if picked, she'll be wealthy), a microphone (if picked, she'll be a singer), a pencil (if picked, she'll be a scolar), yarn (if picked, she'll be a designer), and last but not least, a ball (if picked, she'll be an athlete). Well, our dear Ellie picked two items simultaneously which just happened to be the microphone (as you'll see, in her sneak peek, she loves the microphone), and the $20 bill. It was great fun. And so without any further suspense, I would like to introduce you to Baby Ellie.
